User-Manual for BusTimes

Version 1.19 (27 March 2022)

BusTimes is an application to display the bus times for a particular bus stop. To do so it needs the atcocode for that bus stop. But do not panic if you do not know that, as BusTimes can find that from the Latitude and Longitude fro your location. If you don't know that don't panic as BusTimes can find that with your postcode.
Stop Finder
Once you have entered the atcocode click on the Get bus times button will open up a new window the the details of up to 10 busses from that stop. Which includes the bus number, direction aimed departure time, expected departure time and best guess departure time.
Time Table
Clicking on the Save button opens up the Save Stop window allowing you to save the busses leaving that stop in either plain text, html or csv formats.
Clicking on the Refresh button reloads the information for the displayed bus stop.
Clicking on the Time table button opens up a new window with the time table for that bus.
Clicking on the Launch RiscOSM button will open up a RiscOSM map with a pin at the loation of stop on the map.
Route

Clicking on the Save icon, opens up the Save window allowing you to save the bus route timetable, in either a Plain Text File, HTML, CSV or GPX. THE GPX format can be imported into the excellent RiscOSM to display a map of the bus route and the stops along the way.

Clicking on the Launch RISC OSM button will launch RiscOSM or any other application that can run GPX files on RISC OS. If no appliation has been seen that can run GPX files then that button will be greyed out.

Clicking on any of the stops on this window opens up a new window with buses for that new stop

At the top of the Bus Stop window is a button called Future Date clicking on this opens up a new window called Set date and time.

Just set the date and time you want then hit the Get Timetable button and a new window will open with the busses for that stop on that date for around that time.

Next to the Future Date button is a menu button which allows you to access more than one stop.

A add more stops, you can either click on the Multi Stops button on the Stop Finder window or click on the Multi Stops option on the iconbar menu. That will open up the Multi Stops window.

This is very similar to the STop Finder window, apart from in this window clicking on the post code OK button fills in the Longitude and Latitude icons, and the ATCOcode window when selecting your stop place the cursor in the ATCOcode icon you want to add. When done click on the Save Stops button.

Pressing menu over the main bus stop window or clicking on the menu icon on the main bus stop window will open up a menu allowing to choose which stop you want the times for.

This application requires Wget and a working internet connection to work with the data coming from Transport API site.
