User-Manual for Kquiz

Kquiz is a trivia application, that test your knowledge on a variety of different subjects. To use, double click on the !Kquiz icon which will load it onto the iconbar. Next click on the !Kquiz icon on the iconbar where an option window will open. Choose your subject/question type Multiple Choice or True False and difficulty level, then click on the Download Quiz button. Please note at the time of writing the True False section does not have as many questions and the multiple choice section and not all the categories have True False questions in them. but over time when people submit more questions this will hopefully be sorted.  A new window will open with the category and difficulty level with a question and four possible answers, just choose which answer you think is right, then click on the Mark Quiz button to see if you are right. The right answer will be marked in green and your score will be displayed. Then click on the  After ten questions have been answered a new window will open with your score out of 10. 
On the Scores window clicking on the New Game button, brings up the Options window, so you can choose another category etc. Clicking on the Quiz Master button opens up a new window called Quiz Master with 10 questions and answers.  The correct answer is always on top and is coloured green, on the Multiple Choice section but with the True False section only the correct answer is given, clicking on any of the buttons sends the text to where the cursor is, this is to allow people to make and print their own quizes. Clicking on the Return to Options button returns to the options screen, Some categories may not have enough questions for a particular difficulty level. This application requires a working internet connection and Wget to work. The questions comes from the Open Trivia Database site, if you register you can submit your own questions. |
