Research agency GfK NOP carried out research for the Commission on the Secretary of State for Wales’ proposed referendum question. This is a report of the findings from focus groups and in-depth interviews with members of the public in Wales, which aimed to find out whether people could understand the proposed question.

Figures reveal spending by parties at UK general election
The Electoral Commission – the independent party funding watchdog – has published details of spending by political parties and organisations that spent up to £250,000 campaigning in the 2010 UK general election. In total, political parties have reported spending almost £586,000, and other campaigners have reported spending almost £870,000.

Political parties’ latest donations and borrowing figures published
Sixteen political parties registered in Great Britain reported receiving £26.3 million in donations between 1 April and 30 June 2010, according to new figures published by the Electoral Commission, the independent party funding watchdog.
